Would you like a concise introduction to literature research or reference management? Join one of our regularly scheduled – as well as free – library workshops.
Course contents include: What are the best strategies for literature research and how do I find the best search terms for my specific topic? Which databases can I use to find the information I need? How do I best use the reference management program Citavi, EndNote, Zotero or Juris-M for citing and creating bibliographies?

As of September 7, 2022, WU library’s search_bar will again be available to answer your questions about literature research, legal research and reference management. On-the-spot support, no appointment necessary!

Until January 31, 2023, the Oxford Bibliographies and Oxford Research Encyclopedias are available online on a trial basis. Access is also available off campus for all members of the WU community (staff and WU students).
Oxford Bibliographies: short introduction to different topics and further reading recommendations by experts.
Oxford Research Encyclopedias: peer-reviewed overview articles on various topics from diverse disciplines.

Just in time for the vacations, we are pleased to present 4 new videos on how to do literature research. Many will use this time to make progress on their theses. The library supports you with instructions for 1. Preparing the search 2. Choosing the right databases 3. Searching in the WU catalog and 4. Searching in a literature database.

As of January 2022, the search_bar, the research consultation service and our workshops will be available again.

As of August 3, the library reading areas of the Central Library, the Library for Law, and the Library for Social Sciences will be reopened for a limited number of patrons. Therefore, it is necessary to reserve a seat. You can reserve time slots no earlier than 7 days in advance.

In February 2020, the Library for Business Languages in the D2 building will be integrated into the Central Library in the LC. January 30, 2020 is the last day the D2 library will be open.

The collection from the D2 library will be available on level -2 of the LC building, starting February 12, 2020. The opening hours and terms and conditions of use for the Central Library apply.
