Media shelved by subject, 2004 and later
Specialist literature published in or after 2004 is shelved in the Central Library on levels 5 and 6. The shelves are open-access and the works are organized according to the RVK classification system (Regensburger Verbundklassifikation). Subject areas A to QO are on level 6, and areas QP to Z on level 5. You can also use this classification to search in the WU catalog.

Which books cannot be borrowed? How do I recognize reference works?
Reference works are indicated by the red mark on the shelf mark label. In the catalog, the title’s status is listed as Reading Room use only. These books can only be used in the library and cannot be borrowed. Individual pages can be scanned, however.
