In this course, you will learn how to take a business idea in the area of information business towards an investor pitch. More specifically, we will discuss the design of business models, the management of projects and financial and legal aspects.

Learning outcomes

As a result from this course, you will be able to systematically develop a business idea and structure it towards a business model design.

Teaching/learning method(s)

This course builds on a highly interactive format and requires self-organization from students. You will be able to bring in your own ideas, hold presentations of your results and receive feedback from the course organizers who have practical and professional experience with start-up investments.The course closes with an intensive boost camp which you will leave a detailled folder that can be taken further to founding and starting up your company.

Assessment

The grade will be based on the following contributions:

•15% Flipchart Theory Presentation
•15% Theory Paper
•15% Business Model Canvas
•35% Boost Camp Contribution
•20% Final Roadmap
Prerequisites for participation and waiting lists

It is expected that you are highly interested in IT-based innovations and that you have or will develop an initial idea of what could potentially become a start-up.
