Contents

In this course students learn about key papers, required for understanding more recent papers, and to facilitate the process of reviewing the literature for their own research.

Learning outcomes

Students become familiar with influential papers of four current research areas of faculty members.

Teaching/learning method(s)

The course requires reading all papers on the list (not only those assigned for presentation). Students have to be able to summarize and interpret the papers' main results. This includes appreciating/understanding the intuition. Students have to present the main contents of papers. Each class consists of the presentation of a more general paper and a more specific paper. If required for the understanding of the more specific paper, the corresponding details and prerequisites of the general paper have to be covered.

Assessment
The assessment is based on active participation in all classes (30%) and the presentation of the paper (70%).
