Relevance of Innovation & Entrepreneurship

Multiple European governments have made Innovation & Entrepreneurship a national strategic economic priority. The word “disruption” is thrown around e-ver-y-where. Why do you need to know?

Business buzz this year is about “AI” and “BlockChain

Last year it was “Internet of Things” and “CryptoCurrencies

The year before that “Wearables” and “FinTech

As a superbly-trained business executive, you will be:

1. a visionary SME leader building the next-gen tech companies,

2. an MNE manager/director/VP responsible for the implementation of maturing techs, or

3. left-behind

Whilst many fail, “start-ups,” particularly from the tech sector, go on to act as vital engines of job creation and economic growth.  Further, venture capital funded entities go on to eventually make up a disproportionately high percentage of major index IPO’s every year.

At the corporate level, the ability to create new opportunities quickly, and respond rapidly to accelerating changes in an increasingly complex environment is becoming ever more critical to the ongoing success, and even the basic longevity, of almost every enterprise.

This course is equally balanced on elucidating the:

(i) Types and forms of Strategic Innovation

(ii) Key consideration of Corporate Intrapreneurship & Implementation

(iii) Core concepts of “start-up” entrepreneurship

Ultimately, the goal of the course is to improve the odds of success for entrepreneurial ventures and established businesses.

I look forward to exploring this landscape in class with you.

Regards

Paul
