Course Description

Work Less, Market More: Automate Repetitive Tasks by Building Workflows with Power Automate and AI Builder.

In today’s digital workplace, automation is a key driver of efficiency and innovation. This seminar introduces participants to Microsoft Power Automate, a powerful no-code tool that enables users to automate repetitive tasks, streamline approvals, integrate data across systems, and improve organizational productivity.

This course introduces Master’s students to intelligent automation of simple business processes using Microsoft Power Automate and AI Builder. Students will learn to design, build, and optimize automated workflows that streamline business operations.

The course covers essential topics such as instant and scheduled cloud flows, integrating the AI Builder tool to optimize the flows, equipping students with the skills to automate complex tasks and improve organizational workflows.

Through hands-on exercises and real-world case studies, participants will gain practical skills in automating repetitive tasks, integrating data sources, and deploying AI-powered business solutions.

Target Audience:

Office 365 Users: People familiar with Office 365 who are looking to automate processes across different apps and services within the Microsoft cloud ecosystem.

Students who want to develop skills in automating workflows within their organization, without any knowledge of coding. It's particularly useful for those involved in IT, operations, or business processes that require the automation of repetitive tasks. This course introduces Power Automate, part of the Microsoft Power Platform, and focuses on cloud flow automation using Office 365 data sources.

If you want to combine Excel, Outlook, Teams, Forms, Sharepoint and other Apps into a automated flow you are in the right class.

Students who want to develop skills in automating workflows within their organization, without any knowledge of coding. It's particularly useful for those involved in IT, operations, or business processes that require the automation of repetitive tasks. This course introduces Power Automate, part of the Microsoft Power Platform, and focuses on cloud flow automation using Office 365 data sources.

Students need a PC or laptop (Windows or Mac) with an internet connection. They either bring their own device or work in a PC lab of the university. No further software is required. To attend the course successfully students only need an Office 365 Account and basic excel skills.

All the flows will be created within your WU  Office 365 Cloud so it does not matter if you work with Mac or Microsoft Operation System.

Learning outcomes

By the end of this course, students will be able to:
1.    Understand the fundamentals of process automation in marketing.
2.    Build and deploy automated business workflows using Power Automate.
3.    Integrate AI Builder models for predictive insights and intelligent decision-making.
4.    Optimize workflows for efficiency, scalability, and compliance.
5.    Optimal Use and combination of differnt Office 365 Apps like Excel, Outlook, Teams, Forms, Sharepoint....


    Identify opportunities for process automation in academic and business settings.
    Design and build basic automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate.
    Connect and integrate data sources across Microsoft applications.
    Reduce repetitive administrative work by creating automated approvals, reminders, and data updates.
    Enhance team collaboration and communication through automated alerts and workflow transparency.
    Prepare for leadership in digital transformation, with practical tools and a process-oriented mindset
