- Class objective(s) (learning outcomes)
- Bank Gutmann in cooperation with the WU Gutmann Center for Portfolio Management at the Vienna University of Economics and Business offers the Gutmann-Seminar on Private Wealth Management. The seminar aims at introducing interested clients of Bank Gutmann as well as students from the WU to the theory as well as the practice of private wealth management. Participants will work under the supervision of Professors and academics from the WU and experienced practitioners from Bank Gutmann to better understand financial investments, learn the fundamentals of private wealth management on the basis of selected case studies.
- Teaching and learning method(s)
- The first part: introduction to the fundamentals of wealth management.
The second part: presentation of selected case studies by students.
To better support the students in their preparation of the individual case studies, each student group is assigned a tutor. - In case of restricted admission; selection criteria

- Criteria for successful completion
- Students who take this course as part of their degree program will be graded on the basis of their paper that has to be submitted prior to presentation, the case study presentation and a final exam.

Contents
The introduction part covers a wide range of topics including a presentation of alternative asset classes, a structured analysis of investors' objectives, investment constraints, and risk preferences, a review of modern portfolio theory, and performance evaluation. The topics and case studies will be announced.
