The lecture is structured as follows:
1.) Globalization and Integration of World Trade,
2.) Coordinated Product and Supply Chain Design
3.) Network Design: Models and Tools
4.) Network Design: Solution Methods
5.) Supply Chain Network Design in the Gobal Environment
6.) Global Supply Chain Design and Risk Management
After successful completion of the module, students should have acquired an understanding about the topics of globalization and integration of world trade. Students should have the skills and competence to evaluate the international environment and its implications for global supply chain design. Furthermore, students should be able to develop quantitative models that support decision-making in global supply chain networks..

- Assignments: 15 points
- Case Studies: 25 points
- Final Exam: 50 points
- In-class Participation: 10 points
In order to pass the class, you need attend at least 60 % of all classes, get more than 50 % on the final exam and more than 50 % overall. If you fulfill these criteria, the following grading scale will be applied:
Less than 50 points: Nicht genügend (5) (Failed)
50 - 63 points: Genügend (4) (Sufficient)
64 - 75 points: Befriedigend (3) (Average)
76-87 points: Gut (2) (Good)
88 and more points: Sehr gut (1) (Excellent)
