This workshop teaches youessential concepts and knowledge you need to start your own online start-up. Ina group of maximum of 20 participants you will learn the steps how to buildyour own website using a open source CMS, and how to market, finance and managethe initial phase of your start-up.
The content management systemwhich will be used is Drupal. Drupal is a free system which is used fordifferent types of websites ranging from personal blogs to corporate, politicaland governmental portals but it’s also particularly prefered by start-upsbecause of its cost-efficiency.
Although Drupal offers asophisticated programming infrastructure for developers, no programming skillsare required for a basic website installation and administration. After thisone-day-workshop you will be able to install the software and build a basicwebsite on your own. The workshop is very practically oriented. The instructorwill demonstrate the process step by step, the students will install the systemon their laptops and will be assisted individually in case of difficulties.
Then we will talk about financingthe initial phase of your start-up, marketing your idea and managing yourprocesses. In the end of this workshop you will also have the possibility toask the instructor to demonstrate in detail something that is of a greaterinterest to you in the field of online businesses.
You don't need to have anyexperience or know any coding. The course is meant for people interested inentrepreneurship and building their own online start-up sooner or later.
