This skills course is contains two modules:

  • Creative Techniques for Problem-solving
  • Presentation Training - KRISP (Kearney's Rational & Incisive Speaker Program)

In the Creative Techniques for Problem-solving module, students will gain an understanding of various methods for idea generation, idea evaluation and discussion, and final idea selection. The workshop will offer a diverse program in which theoretical inputs alternate with practical case studies and brain teasers.

The KRISP Presentation Training will concentrate on the tools and techniques that can be employed during a presentation. The only way to improve one's presentation skills is to practice. KRISP therefore focuses on giving the participants opportunities to practice and keeps the theory to a necessary minimum while sharing experiences from "real-life" presentation situations.

Learning outcomes

After completing the two workshop modules, students will have the ability to:

  • Use methods for idea generation, evaluation, and selection
  • Take creative action and work in consulting-relevant situations
  • Stay in control of their presentations
  • Use visual aids for communication
  • Persuade with their presentations
  • Understand the importance of listening to the audience
  • Respond to difficult questions
