The aim of this course is to give students the opportunity to deploy their body as one of their most powerful assets to create impacting leadership in the context of the emergence of new forms of entrepreneurship and governance termed corporate liberation, such as Semco in Brazil and HTC Technologies in India.
The body can be both a terrible hinder and a fantastic asset in our functioning. Most of the time, as long as it is in good health, we tend to take the body for granted. When aches and ills arise, we tend to ignore them, and treat symptoms in the hope they’ll disappear.
Largely due to a lack of information, we do relatively little to prevent the body from dysfunctioning. The factors that stand in the way of healthy bodies very often have an emotional dimension, cumulating into potentially high level of tension, stress and eventually burn out. All these elements stand in the way of leading serene personal and professional lives, and to fulfilling our highest aspirations.
Coupled with a better understanding of our complex emotional mechanisms, the practice of yoga, relaxation and meditation offers powerful means to manage one’s emotions with calm. Going yet further, we can educate our body to serve our objectives. The body is absolutely key to the more subtle expressions, such as communication, charisma, intuition, authenticity, conviction, courage, and much else.
The course is thus designed to give students a better theoretical and experiential understanding of their complex emotional and more subtle body dynamics. Students will learn to maintain the body in optimal condition, and so serve their aspirations. The journey is to be a process of self-discovery and self-management with a view to activating the leader inside capable of directing her/his life, and further powerfully and beneficially impacting others.
Learning outcomes
1. Students need not have practiced yoga before. Nor do they need to have flexible/supple bodies. All that is required is motivation, open mindedness and good will.
2. They should bring a writing booklet and a pen, which they will use to take notes and record their experience of the course at every stage. This is a very important part of the process. No computers, tablets or cell phones are to be used in class! 3. Students should wear loose and comfortable clothing – no jeans! – preferably cotton, preferably white, and preferably no dark colours which diminish charisma.
4. They should bring a light blanket to cover themselves during relaxation. If they find it difficult to sit on the floor for any length of time, they can bring a small and hard (meditation) cushion to sit on.
5. Students should bring drinking water, as some exercises require rehydration.
Teaching/learning method(s)

Each session students will take part in a set of yoga exercises, followed by a deep relaxation and a short meditation. The rest of the time will consist in active exchanges between student and teacher, as well as between students themselves to cover more theoretical aspects of the course.
