In five interactive sessions we deal with the planning, development and implementation of strategic decisions in CEE markets. The core of the course revises the quintessential strategic concepts and analyzes the paths and challenges in executing corporate and business strategies in CEE countries while applying certain formal elements of project management. The key links among critical functional pillars are emphasized throughout the course and quite often relations to real-life business situations are drawn. Moreover, the courses adds another dimension to teaching strategic management when including fundamental financial insights in order to allow for evaluating different strategies through its (intended) financial outcome.

All elements of the course will be linked to a semester-long final project, in which - on the basis of a sound project management plan - students are required to synthesize their learning objectives.
