Research Seminar Economic Geography
This course will offer students interested broadly in the field of Economic Geography to present and discuss their PhD or Doctoral Dissertation. The seminar will be attended by the members of the Institute of Economic Geography and GIScience who will provide feedback and critical engagement with the material. The seminar will also feature guest speakers and students need to read and come prepared to the seminar. The point is for students to gather experience in research design, writing a research paper and presenting it in an academic setting.
Students will
- be exposed to cutting edge research in Economic Geography
- gain experience in developing a research paper
- presenting the research to an academic audience
Presentations and critical discussion of presentations / presented papers
Active participation at seminars
Quality of research paper
Quality of presentation and response to feedback
Knowledge of Literature in Eocnomic Geography or related subjects
