The course investigates different aspects of logistics considering sustainable and environmental issues. We will focus on quantitative models and methods in order to build a more efficient and “greener” system ranging from strategic considerations, such as network planning, to operational decisions, such as routing.
After this course the students will be able
In order to successfully complete the course one has to have an attendance of at min. 60% of all classes .
Lecture with active participation including in class examples and case studies, assignments and presentations
In order to successfully complete the course one has to have an attendance of at min. 60% of all classes, more than 50% on the final exam and more than 50% of overall points. Groups works will be peer-reviewed and can be individually graded.
Grades are distributed as follows:
If a student misses the final exam, he or she can repeat the exam only if he or she provides sufficient proof of the necessity of the absence (illness, accident…). If the student misses a performance assessment worth less than 50% of the grade (e.g. a mid-term quiz), opportunities to repeat the assessment can be provided optionally by the lecturers and in any case require sufficient proof for the necessity of the absence as well.
