  • The market for health insurance
  • The market for physicians' services
  • Hospitals and long-term care
  • The pharmaceutical industry
  • Market structures in the health care sector
Learning outcomes

The students will acquire:

  • an overview of the key concepts and topics of the economics of healthcare
  • a capacity to understand the specificity of the markets for healthcare
  • an ability to apply the main economic concepts to the analysis of important and profitable health markets.
Attendance requirements

It is mandatory to attend the first lecture unless otherwise explicitly informed by e-mail. 75% attendance is required.
