Students are supposed to specify the focus, structure, and working plan for their master thesis and later improve their projects according to feedback from faculty and peers. Students that have already finalized their thesis will present/defend their approach and results, and will share and discuss learnings and implications with peers. In addition to presenting her/his own project, every student will provide structured feedback (incl. a short visual presentation) on another presentation.
Language of instruction
The course enables students to
• Present and explain a research proposal
• Present and defend a (work-in-progress)research project
• Take and build on comments from acritical audience
• Critically evaluate research Project.
Generally, students must attend all sessions and arrive on time for all sessions. However, students may miss a maximum of one sessions, bearing in mind that participation points cannot be gathered in case of absence.
Participants and faculty meet in four sessions (participation in all four units is mandatory). Every student will present her/his work once. Depending on the phase of their project, students present their thesis, thesis proposals or thesis drafts. In addition to presenting her/his own project, every student will provide structured feedback (incl. a short visual presentation) on another presentation. Beyond that, peers and faculty will provide constructive feedback on the project and its structure. Every student has to write up a brief essay that summarizes the lessons learned.
A detailed schedule including all presentations will be available shortly after the end of the registration deadline.

Students must have a supervision agreement (or topic assigned) for their master thesis. As an exceptional case, also students that have already finalized their thesis are accepted.
