The lecture tackles topics in regulation of network industries, e.g. electricity, gas, water, rail as well as telecommunication. Traditional question are how to regulate industries with natural monopoly characteristics? How should regulatory intervention look like in segments of industries, in which competition seems possible and beneficial?

The seminar tackles topics in regulation of network industries. The main recent empirical and theoretical papers will be presented. There will be a session on policy issues.

Learning outcomes
