Communication is a core element for the internationalization of firms and is directed to stakeholders inside and outside the organization. Together with an organization, students learn to develop strategic guidance for communication strategies. At the same time, students take over responsibilities make suggestions for a detailed roll-out of the strategies.
Within this course, students will learn to
- develop effective communication strategies
- use those strategies to organize communication processes
- develop creative applications for the designed communication strategies
- work in teams
- communicate and present own ideas in a structured and convincing way.
Participation is mandatory but a single unit can be missed (however, students receive zero participation points for the missed unit)
This course uses a mix of teaching designs:
- Teacher Presentations
- Class Discussions
- Expert Presentations
- Real Life Casework
- Student Presentations
Grading is based on four elements:
- Participation (20%)
- Mid Term Presentation: (20%)
- Final Presentation & Report (50%)
- Peer Rating (10%)
Pre-requisites for WU students: completed course 1 (Foundations) and course 2 (Applications). The course is open to all exchange students with an interest in international business and communication.
