Other

Accompanying Project

Vienna or other destinations have many different offers for their tourists. Among them are parks, tourist information, cafes, museums, souvenir shops, ...

However, tourists do not always make the best experience. Please step in the shoes of a tourist and be a mystery shopper to evaluate one of these offers (either on site or the website).
Own ideas concerning the offers you evaluate are welcome.

Workflow:

  • Define your research objective, i.e. what do you want to find out with your research?
  • Prepare an evaluation sheet with criteria as to how you are going to evaluate your tourist/attraction or business. Your criteria should be based, if possible, on existing research (may be items used in a questionnaire for a different study). Upload this evaluation sheet on MyLearn until the given deadline. We will grade the evaluation sheet and provide feedback. In case you hand it in earlier, then you will get the feedback earlier.
  • Each person in your group needs to evaluate a minimum of two offers/websites (this means that if your group consists of five students, you need to do ten mystery checks in total).
  • Analyze the data, prepare a power-point presentation, and upload it on MyLearn until the given deadline.
