One-on-one discussion/development sessions of Ph.D. topics with graduate students. Sessions are intended to assist students by providing constructive feedback on research projects, not to test knowledge. The sessions may include discussions of dissertation research, research approaches, dissertation progress, and related issues.
The goal of these sessions is to assist in the development of students’ research topics and improve their skills in communicating research concepts. Sessions should help students identify appropriate academic outlets for their work and increase the likelihood of publication success.
Participation is based on One-on-One sessions - please coordinate your time slot directly with Prof. Reeves (creeves@uark.edu)
Students are required to email me a draft of their current dissertation or a dissertation summary at least 1 week in advance prior to the scheduled meeting to facilitate a productive exchange. One hour time slots from 12-3:00pm will be made available by appointment for students to schedule according to their availability.
The final grade of the course will depend on:
50% participation in discussion
50% individual presentation of research
