Learning outcomes

The course is designed to set the participants in the state of understanding and applying techniques and methods of:

  • process identification
  • process modeling with BPMN
  • process discovery
  • process analysis
  • process redesign based on redesign heuristics
  • process automation with business process management systems
  • process intelligence and process mining

Furthermore, students get familiar with therecent research discussion in this field.

Teaching/learning method(s)

The course is designed as a mixture of lecturing with accompanying project assignments.

 

 

 

 

Assessment

The students will take part in continuous project work. There will be four progress presentations each accounting for 5% of the overall grade and 3 assignments each accounting for 10% of the overall grade. The final presentation accounts for 10% and the project report accounts for 40%.
