In this course, students learn instruments used to manage effectively teams as a whole and individual team members. They develop knowledge of key concepts related to team dynamics in the context of mergers and acqusisitions, and develop a critical reflection on processes occuring in multinational teams. Students will also learn skills necessary to write a high-quality seminar paper, and develop presentation skills.
Attendance in the first session is compulsory. Students who do not show up at the first session will be delisted. Overall, students can miss up to 3 hours of classes in this course.
In addition to interactive lectures, teaching and learning will take place through a variety of media and tools, including:
Case presentation and discussion by students will be a regular part of the course.
Video clips will be short and will be used to bring alive some of the issues discussed in class and to show how they have application to effective and responsible management.
Small group discussions
There will be numerous occasions where discussion will occur in small groups.
Time will be given in each session for you to identify your learning and reflect on how you might take ideas given, and use them in your role as a team leader or team member.
