During the course, students 

• acquire theoretical and conceptual knowledge on international financial management, 
• learn about corporate valuation techniques, 
• gain a systematic understanding of financial risk management techniques,  
• understand key alliances and their business implications, 
• become knowledgeable about hedging instruments, and
• understand strategic financial management in an international context. 

Online attendance in all synchronous sessions and asynchronous teaching is required.

Course design

This course is designed as a modular online (1334) and face-to-face (1333) course. The online unit is taught entirely via learn@wu. Students in both the online and the face-to-face course are expected to attend/complete ALL weekly learning components. This includes:

• Pre-session mandatory readings
• Online assignments and learning extensions (videos & podcasts),
• Online teaching sessions, and
• Recorded lecture casts (asynchronous) – Online unit only.

The course ends with a written in person exam (additional information below). The course is supported online through student forums.

• Final exam                     70%
