Contents

The seminar tackles topics in regulation of network industries. The main recent empirical and theoretical papers will be presented. There will be a session on policy issues.

Learning outcomes

The aim is that students present the main papers and via discussion of results get an impression of the state of the art of research in the field. Specific regulatory decisions of authorities will also be discussed.

 

Attendance requirements

Attendance is mandatory, max. one absence without valid excuse

Teaching/learning method(s)

Student presentations with discussion.

Assessment

Presentation of a paper of choice (70%), Handout (10%), work in class (20%)

Prerequisites for participation and waiting lists

Students taking the Research and Policy Seminar must also take the accompanying "Field Course: Regulatory Economics" either in the same semester or in a previous Semester.
