Presenting selected business topics over the course of three presentations: one short prepared presentation, one longer prepared group presentation, as well as one shorter unprepared presentation.
Each of the two prepared topics can be chosen by the student (with the approval of the instructors), provided it is from the field of export and internationalization management. The second topic (for the group presentation) must deal with a current topic. The final ad hoc presentation will consist of students presenting on a given business topic with the use of background articles or other material provided by the instructors and a total preparation time of 75 minutes.
After completing the course, students will be able to give clearly structured presentations in English, having improved, reinforced and refined their communicative skills to be applied in presentations and discussions.
Full attendance is obviously recommended, but participants can miss a maximum of one session if absolutely necessary. Should they be scheduled to present in that session, they will have to give their presentation in another meeting.
The teaching methods used include joint review and assessment of presentations.
- delivery of a short presentation (less than 10 minutes) on a predefined topic (10%)
- group presentation (length depending on group size) on a previously agreed topic taking notes and providing feedback on fellow students' presentations (40%)
- delivery of a brief ad hoc presentation on a previously unknown topic (40%)
- regular attendance and active participation in discussions (10%)
