Contents

The course introduces the concept of supply chain management and explains the importance of supply chain strategy, digitalization and risks to create company value.

80% of course attendance is required

Teaching/learning method(s)

The course is designed in two parts:

Part I

Theoretical foundation of Supply Chain Strategy, taught by Prof. Kummer in the first two sessions

Part II

Practical application of the Supply Chain Strategy Theory, in the form of a company supply chain assessment, developed, submitted and presented in student groups, during the next 4 ONLINE sessions. The second part of the course will be taught by Prof. Suarez. Please see details about the assignment, sessions structure and student group allocation in CANVAS.

 

Assessment

Grade breakdown:

1. Company Supply Chain Assessment:  40%

Students’ performance during Prof. Suarez sessions will be graded up to 40% of the total course grade. 30% of the total grade will be based on the company report presentation and 10% on the relevance of the discussion at the “industry contest”. Submission of the report is due on Wednesday, November 30th, end of day. Presentations in groups will take place in the first online sessions of Prof. Suarez

2. Final exam: 60 %
