Teaching/learning method(s)

Introduction to content production is taught over the course of five lessons, in which students get to learn hands-on the basics of social media content production. In each session students have to bring a piece of content with them to discuss in class with their peers – this will also help them break out of their own filter bubble and experience different kinds of content. This course helps students gain content production skills such as writing search engine optimized texts, producing slidestories and creating vertical videos. Additionally, they will learn how to strategically use content on social media platforms and how content can be modified for different social media platforms.

Assessment

Grading will be based on:

  • Participation in class (15%)
  • Production of an optimized text (20%)
  • Production of a slidestory  (30%)
  • Production of a vertical video (35%)
