The main goal of this course is to offer students insights into the demanding world of consultants and to improve analytical-, presentation-, and soft-skills. In the course of our meetings, students get the unique chance to get to know representatives of 6 leading top management consultancies in a protected environment.
After finishing this course students will be able to:
Gain insights into the demanding world of consultants
- Understand the basics and key success factors of management consulting
- Understand different approaches towards management consulting and their idiosyncrasies
Improve your analytical skills, presentation skills, and other soft skills
- Solve case studies in a structured way
- Present in business settings
- Improve networking skills in a protected environment
In order to successfully pass this course, you may miss one session at most. If you already know that you will miss a certain session, kindly inform me during our first session.
In addition, note that the locations in the syllabus are preliminary. The meetings will either take place at the consultant's office or at WU.
Highly renowned consultants will present their own special approaches towards consulting. Moreover, participants will get the chance to work on real case studies and subsequently present the results in front of consultants. However, we will not only focus on case studies as the course also includes debate clubs and the simulation of job interviews for management consulting. Therefore, participants will gain knowledge in wide array of different areas: consulting know-how, analytical skills, presentation skills, and other soft skills. Our sessions will be complemented by informal get2gethers if possible given the current circumstances. The course will entirely be held in English.

Note that the locations indicated here are not final. I planned the course to take place in the consultants' offices in Vienna if possible, but we will need be flexible to switch to WU Campus or Online Sessions if required.
