Our economy is in a fundamental transformation process. The concepts of sustainability or circular economy are becoming increasingly important in our business world. These concepts not only require major changes in existing organizations, but also represent opportunities for innovative business models. - This is a brand new course, I am looking forward to our classes!
By the end of this module
- You will have a well-founded overview of the concept of sustainability and circular economy
- know the theoretical basics and literature on the concepts of sustainability and circular economy
- will be familiar with new, alternative business models (e.g. sharing economy, repair)
- gain a well-founded insight into innovative solutions from different areas (e.g. food, textiles as well as transport and mobility) and
- implement your knowledge in a project.
80% presence in lectures is mandatory (as per WU guideline). All lectures are planned on campus.
- Lectures and the presentation of practical examples in different media formats (e.g., video, audio, print, etc.).
- Exercises and workshops individually and in groups
- Lecture by external experts
