Contents

The course focuses on the internationalization process in companies. Starting with direct investments, through its financing process, to modern management of international companies. This results in the following contents:

- Pre-reading during our first session to establish a common understanding of our course requirements
- Introduction, goals, definitions
- Foreign direct investments
- Traditional financing in an international environment
- Modern financing through innovative financing instruments
- Private Equity, Venture Capital
- Evaluation and comparison methods
- Traditional methods of managing international investment and investment abroad
- Value-oriented methods for managing international foreign investment and investments

Learning outcomes

Students will...
- have a fundamental understanding of financing companies in an international environment
- learn to apply modern instruments of managing international foreign investment
- know how to design instruments and processes in modern international companies
- improve their presentation skills

 

Attendance requirements

Based on our experience, presence in all course units significantly helps to achieve good grades, being present in the sessions is strongly recommended

Assessment

50% Multiple choice exam

20% pre concept of your individual presentation incl literature & figures

30% final individual presentation
