This course will provide information and some advice on the economic job market, specifically addressed to the junior job market (i.e., for candidates who obtained their PhD recently or will graduate in the next two academic years). We will focus on the centralized international market, which consists of a European and an American market. In some countries (e.g., U.K., France, Spain...), national job markets remain with specific (and later) timelines. Interested candidates are encouraged to consider these options, but we will not discuss them extensively during the preparation.

The course will cover the following:

1-Overview of the Job Market

2- Job Market Paper

3-Interviews & Flyouts

4-Mock Interviews

5-Teaching Statement

6-Research and Diversity Statement
