Im Rahmen der Lehrveranstaltung werden in Kooperation mit Organisationen diversitätsrelevante Fragestellungen bearbeitet. Der erste Tag dient der Einführung in die Thematik. An den folgenden Terminen werden unterschiedliche Themengebiete behandelt, die sowohl einen theoretischen Überblick geben als auch die praktische Relevanz in unterschiedlichen sozialen Feldern und Organisationen aufzeigen. Im Rahmen der Lehrveranstaltung wird von den Studierenden ein konkretes diversitätsrelevantes Beispiel bearbeitet und am Ende des Semesters im Rahmen einer Abschlussveranstaltung präsentiert.

Die Studierenden eignen sich diversitätsrelevantes Wissen auf unterschiedlichen Ebenen an. Sie lernen anhand von „real cases“ diversitätsrelevante Fragestellungen zu verstehen. Am Ende des Seminars können die Studierenden eine eigene Fragestellung strukturiert beantworten und ihr erworbenes Wissen in unterschiedlichen Disziplinen und Kontexten anwenden. Sie können weiterhin kritisch über die Implementierung und Verankerung von Diversitätsmanagement reflektieren.

Continuous assessment courses (PI) are high-interactive courses.

For a positive completion of the course an 80% presence is required.

Should there be an important reason for an absence in the course, then a maximum of 20% of the entire course duration can be missed. For cumulative absences of more than 20%, the course must be repeated. A confirmation (eg. a medical certificate) must be provided for the absence.

According to the examination regulations of the WU, important reasons are those which are outside the disposition of the student (illness, accident, death of a close relative). Professional obligations are not considered as an important reason within the meaning of the examination regulations, because they are in the disposition of the students.

Die Lehrveranstaltung beinhaltet Organisationspräsentationen, Gruppenarbeiten, Präsentationen, Plenumsdiskussionen sowie Einzelarbeiten.

Die Beurteilung der Leistung in der LV basiert auf folgenden Kriterien:

Gruppenlevel (60 Punkte): Auseinandersetzung mit einer konkreten praxisrelevanten Fragestellung, Präsentation der Ergebnisse und Verfassen einer Seminararbeit

Individualleistung (40 Punkte): 4 Individuelle Reflexionsarbeiten zu den jeweiligen Praxispräsentationen

The use of any kind of AI-based software (e.g. ChatGPT, Bard etc.) is prohibited for examinations and performance components of this course and is considered to be fraudulent or cheating, since there would be a pretense of scientific achievements.

For students within the Management master program: Successful completion of the course "Introduction to Management"

This course is based on the knowledge content of the bachelor program. It has a definitely scientific character and builds on the current state of scientific research.
