Assembling a team and pitching the venture are two of the key skills entrepreneurs require to be successful. In this course we aim to discuss these two areas, and together with guest speakers from the Austrian entrepreneurship ecosystem aim to equip our students with key skills, especially in pitching.
In this course, we will discuss the following elements
- What makes a good team?
- Is founding with friends a good idea?
- What can go wrong in founding teams?
- What makes a good pitch?
- How do venture capitalists evaluate pitches?
After successfully completing the Entrepreneurial Skills Zone, students will be able to:
- Identify key characteristics of successful founding teams
- Practice their own pitching skills
- Know key factors that make venture pitches successful
Students must attend at least 80% of all classes and events to successfully complete the course.
The kick-off will be recorded prior to the first appointment and can be watched on students' own time until the 15th of March EOD. There will be an assignment to ensure comprehension of the contents.
We strive to use a variety of learning methods:
- Guest speakers
- Group exercises
- Online videos
- Case study discussions
