Contents

The course consists of the following parts:

  • Part 1: Creation of a marketing concept in the context of a planned internationalization of an Austrian company
  • Part 2: Internal presentation of all marketing concepts
  • Part 3: Final event: Presentation of the best marketing concept
Learning outcomes

After completing the course, students can, against the background of a practical case

  •     reflect on the business context of internationalization;
  •     develop a strategic marketing plan for internationalization;
  •     apply marketing instruments to decision-making situations regarding internationalization;
  •     make and justify decisions in groups for decision-making situations and
  •     critically reflect on their own marketing plan and the process of creating it
Attendance requirements

Attendance is compulsory for the kick-off, the internal presentation and the final event. Of the remaining units, a maximum of 2 units may be missed. Compensatory work must be completed for missed units.

The kick-off event, the internal interim presentation and the final event take place in person. The coaching sessions are held online.

  • Creation of a marketing plan
  • Discussion and decision-making in small groups
  • Presentation and discussion of the marketing plans
  • Presentation and discussion of selected master's theses
Assessment

This course is not an examination-based course. Students receive the assessment "participated" or "did not participate". For an overall assessment of "participated in the course", the following achievements are expected from the students:

  •     Creation of an international marketing plan
  •     Internal presentation of the marketing concepts
  •     Participation in the final event
Prerequisites for participation and waiting lists
