This course focuses on the empirical analysis of government interventions. The course consists of two blocks. The first block introduces empirical tools of policy analysis: experimental and quasi-experimental designs. The concepts of causality and endogeneity are explained. The second block discusses recent empirical findings in major areas of economic policy: social transfers, labor market policies, education, pension systems, and migration.
