Contents

The seminar is dedicated to the study of the quantitative methods that are most relevant to the class. The lecturer will introduce each quantitative method with a short lecture including Stata examples. Strong emphasis will be given to the reading and discussion of peer-reviewed academic articles applying the method. In addition, the students will have to present their own research or a related published article during the semester.

Learning outcomes
  • Intuitively understand a wide range of quantitative methods and relationships between them
  • Select the quantitative method that is most appropriate to the research question and available data
  • Critically appraise published quantitative research
  • Present and motivate own quantitative methods
Attendance requirements
