This class deals with selected areas of civil law and criminal law. The focus will be on comparing the principles governing the Common Law tradition with the Austrian legal system on the one hand, and the legal systems of exchange students' home countries on the other. Importantly, this comparative perspective will include differences in legal discourse, and specifically legal terminology. Furthermore, the course is intended to give students' English skills a boost.
