In the summer semester 2021 the new evaluation will available to you.

The pilot can be easily adapted to teaching with online elements due to its flexibly modifiable questionnaire and the mobile support of the online evaluation.

The course evaluation at WU is intended to help you find out more about the unused potential of your course. You can use the pre-set questionnaire or modify it. If your course is not intended for evaluation, you can use the course evaluation voluntarily. Please contact for this.

To start the course evaluation, you have three options. 

First option: 

  1. You will receive an e-mail at your WU email address containing information concerning the evaluation(s) of your course(s) to be carried out, as well as a link to the evaluation portal on the MyLEARN page. This link will take you directly to your evaluation (login required).
  2. Confirm the evaluation by clicking on „Yes, the evaluation can be conducted“.
  3. Launch your course evaluation. 

Second option: 

  1. Click on your course in MyLEARN.
  2. Click on "Start evaluation" in the evaluationportlet. 
  3. Confirm the evaluation by clicking on „Yes, the evaluation can be conducted“. 
  4. Launch your course evaluation. 

Third option:  

  1. Click on "LV evaluation" in the LEARN navigation bar. 
  2. Click on your course in the evaluation system. 
  3. Confirm the evaluation by clicking on „Yes, the evaluation can be conducted”. 
  4. Launch your course evaluation. 

You can modify the optional modules and optional questions of your questionnaire so that the evaluation corresponds to your course concept.

If you have started the course evaluation, proceed as follows: 

  1. Click "Preview" to view a .pdf version of the questionnaire. You can decide whether you want to modify the questionnaire.
  2. To modify the questionnaire, please click on „modify questionnaire“
    a. Click the “modify-button”  to modify or delete a question. Questions that cannot be modified are marked accordingly.
    b. Delete the question and add a new question. You can choose from the sample questions.
    c. Click "delete to completely remove the last two modules. Now you can add a new module from the templates.
    d. Click on “complete” to confirm the modified template.
  3. Click on „Confirm questionnaire“, if you do not wish to modify the questionnaire.

During the evaluation you can choose between the online version and the paper-based solution.  You can evaluate online directly in the course using mobile devices. In case of the paper&pencil evaluation, the provision of the sheets takes about 5 working days.

Once you have started the course evaluation and confirmed the questionnaire, proceed as follows: 

  • Click "Evaluation online" and specify a survey period. You will receive an email after the successful setup. The students will only receive an e-mail with the link to the survey at the start.


  • Click "Evaluation on paper" and specify the number of sheets required. If necessary, enter a different delivery address in the comment field.

You will be notified by mail as soon as the evaluation is terminated / digitalized. From this point on, you will be able to access the results, including a detailed explanation thereof.

  1. Click "Get evaluation results" to view your results.
  2. Scroll to the end and select your publication type for students and reporting.
  3. Click "Download the evaluation results in pdf" to download your evaluation results in pdf format.
  4. Click "A detailed description of the graphs" to get more information on how to interpret the results.
