Login
To log in to MyLEARN, you need a valid WU account. You need this account for using many different WU online services. You receive your account data (username and password) when starting your employment or your degree program at WU. For more information on WU accounts and account management, please see the IT-Services web pages .
How do I log in to MyLEARN?
Students log in to MyLEARN with their (valid) student ID number, and WU employees with their (valid) username.
- Go to the WU LEARN web page and click the button “Login MYLEARN”.
- If you are a student, please enter the letter “h” immediately followed by your student ID number for authentication.
- If you are a member of WU’s teaching staff, please enter your WU username for authentication.
- Enter your WU account password.
- Click the “Log in” button.
If it’s your first time logging in to MyLEARN, you’ll have to acknowledge and accept the terms of use. You will then be forwarded to your personal MyLEARN starting page. Please note that you have to enter your password again at the end of the page to accept the terms of use.
How do I change my password?
You can change the password you receive together with your WU account at any time in the Controlpanel application.
- In your web browser, enter the following URL: https://controlpanel.wu.ac.at.
- Click the “Log in” button.
- Click on “My account”.
- Click on “Password change”.
- Enter your current password and the new password.
- Click the “Change password” button..
If you add a cell phone number to your account in the Controlpanel application, you can conveniently request a new password via SMS text message.
Troubleshooting
I’m unable to log in to MyLEARN. What can I do?
Only current WU students and WU employees who have been registered in SAP can access MyLEARN. If you are an external lecturer, you will not automatically receive account credentials, but your institute can request such credentials for you from IT-SERVICES. In such cases, however, the employee in question must be registered and entered into the system by the Personnel Office.
If you have valid account data but are still unable to log in to MyLEARN, please follow the steps below:
- Please check if you are able to log in to other WU online services with your password (e.g. webmail, LPIS).
- If you are unable to log in to any of WU’s online services, please contact IT-SERVICES (+43 1 31336-3000 or hotline@wu.ac.at).
- If you find that you can log in to all other WU online services but not to MyLEARN, please change your password in the Controlpanel application.
- In your web browser, enter the following URL: https://controlpanel.wu.ac.at.
- Click the “Log in” button.
- Click on “My account”.
- Click on “Password change”.
- Enter your current password and the new password.
- Click the “Change password” button.
- Try to log in to MyLEARN again.
